It is important to note that, although these can be provided 'off the shelf', they are primarily listed for indication only. Most of our customers choose to either 'pick and mix' from a number of different workshops, or have their own topics in mind.

Moving into Management

This 2 day workshop has been designed to work on two levels, firstly as an introduction to anyone who is thinking of 'stepping up' into a supervisory role and wishes to gain an insight into some of the skills involved, or as a sister workshop to Introduction to Supervisory Management and to Further Management Skills, where the programmes are designed to complement each other and to be interchangeable .

Each can be run as a one day reduced content workshop if required.

Introduction to SUPERVISORY SKILLS

A key requirement far any team leader is to achieve positive results by demonstrating effective management skills. All too often we assume that these skills magically appear immediately prior to taking up a new role. This flexible workshop recognises the need for organisations to develop new team leaders by providing them with the basic skills with which to further improve themselves, the team and the organisation.

This 2 day workshop is designed to either stand alone or to link in with Moving into Management and Further Management Skills.

Further Management Skills

Building upon either the skills developed through Moving into Management and Introduction to Management or from the workplace. this 2 day workshop will enhance those skills and help participants to create a challenging and rewarding environment for themselves and their team.

Leading and Motivating Staff

Leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff lie at the heart of the team leader's role. This 1 or 2 day workshop explores, and at times challenges, a number of established views on the subject and looks at ways in which participants can develop their own skills through the combination of theory and practical experience.

MOTIVATING POOR PERFORMERS

The ability to improve team and individual staff performance is central to the leader's role. This highly interactive 1 day workshop looks at the reasons for poor performance and invites delegates to look at the methods that they currently use to improve performance within their team. It will also enable them to challenge and then build upon some of the established views on the subject.

Primarily focused on managers and team leaders, this 1 day workshop aims to provide a basic understanding of employment law in the UK. Following attendance participants will be aware, not only of common misunderstandings surrounding the employment of staff, but also of what they can do to avoid the main pitfalls when involved in the legal process.
